This region has something for everyone. Those who like the bustle of a big city has to be in Benidorm. Those who want a quiet holiday in one of the many neighborhoods of La Nucia and L'Alfaz del Pi is also in the right place. And those who wants a little more mundane vacation can find no better destination than Altea, where many very expensive villas defy the landscape.
ALTEA
Since the year 1960 is home to countless artists and art galleries and craft shops are located in the narrow streets of the old city and around the square of Plaza de la Iglesia. From here one has a magnificent view over Altea and the sea.
It is also the second home to wealthy businessmen who
have a posh villa in the famous Hills. Many of them also have a yacht in one of the many
marinas this resort has to offer.
ALFAZ DEL PI
This towns history is ancient and it’s was a fortified settlement to protect against the pirates who used to raid this part of the Spanish coast. Its current name comes from the Moorish period. The Moors used to grow fruits and almonds in the area besides their metal mining industry.
The beachis located in Albir a district of Alfaz Del Pi and is a favorite spot for Norwegians, Dutch and other Europeans. It is one of the cleanest places on the Costa Blanca with a marble promenade along the beach.

LA NUCIA
La Nucía is located a short distance from the cosmopolitan Benidorm. A charming, fast-growing town with a very international community.
La Nucia has a unique location near the coast, often with stunning views of sea and surrounding mountains. The village is located just a short distance from the tourist crowds, but remained an oasis of calm.
BENIDORM
The city with the most impressive skyline in Europe. For many, the city of the elderly, but nothing is further from the truth. It is a city where young and old can get his money's worth.
The shopaholics will be only too happy to come here. In the old town, that is connecting the two beaches of Benidorm, you will find a maze of alleys with numerous shops. But there is also a large shopping center and even a supermarket which closes at midnight only.
At restaurants, pubs, bars and nightclubs is nothing short Benidorm. It's like New York a city that never sleeps. While elderly people dance a Wals in a cafeteria , so you have a salsa bar next where the temperature goes to the height. On the other side you have a rock pub with live music through the speakers. And in the beach clubs can be every day for a rousing beat. The clubs are not negligible. It's like an Ibiza clubbers' paradise where you can watch international DJs and a dance till very late in the morning.
Also for sports Benidorm has much to offer. It has one of the finest golf courses that Spain has to offer with a unique decor.
For those who like to go well below the sea level with tanks to see what the wildlife has to offer you can only expect but breathtaking scenes.
Other water sports that you can exercise on the coast of Benidorm are catamaran, jet skiing, snorkeling, kayaking and windsurfing.
Walking is the most popular activity in Benidorm. The miles long promenades along the broad white beaches of Benidorm Poniente and Benidorm Levante are perhaps the most popular hiking trails in the Northern Hemisphere. Every year more then a million people take a very long walk here. But the mountain routes are attractive, especially for the real hiker. The views you get on these routes are unforgettable.
